Victory Bio 4 Color Process Black Water Based Ink Quart

Victory Bio 4 Color Process Black Water Based Ink Quart

Add crisp detail, rich shadows, and strong tonal depth to full-color prints with Victory Bio 4 Color Process Black Water Based Ink. Formulated for four-color process screen printing, this black ink works with Process Cyan, Process Magenta, and Process Yellow to reproduce photographs, illustrations, gradients, fine details, and complex CMYK artwork.

Process Black—often called the “K” in CMYK—strengthens contrast and defines the darkest areas of an image. Its water-based formula produces a soft, flexible print without the heavy surface feel associated with traditional plastisol ink.

Sharp Detail and Contrast for CMYK Printing

Victory Bio Process Black is designed to complete a four-color process ink set. When printed through properly prepared halftone separations, it adds definition, shadows, outlines, and neutral dark tones while allowing the other process colors to build the image.

Process Black is ideal for:

  • Photographic screen printing
  • Detailed halftone artwork
  • CMYK apparel graphics
  • Fine lines and image definition
  • Shadows and dark tonal transitions
  • Grayscale details
  • Fine-art textile printing
  • Multi-color illustrations and gradients

For the best results, use correctly calibrated color separations, consistent screen tension, precise registration, and suitable halftone angles.

Soft, Flexible Water-Based Performance

The Victory Bio water-based ink series is formulated for strong adhesion, excellent wash durability, and a soft-hand finish. The ink system offers elongation of more than 1,000% at break, helping printed designs remain flexible and resist cracking on stretchable materials.

Its slow-drying characteristics help keep the screen open longer at room temperature, reducing premature clogging during extended production runs. The ink series is suitable for cotton, cotton/polyester blends, polyester, synthetic fabrics, Lycra, and other highly elastic substrates. Always perform a test print on the actual garment before beginning full production.

Recommended Printing Guidelines

For the most accurate four-color process reproduction, print on white or light-colored garments. Dark garments generally require a white underbase, which may affect the appearance, transparency, and balance of the process colors.

Recommended mesh:
Use monofilament polyester mesh within the manufacturer’s recommended 86–230 mesh range. Detailed process printing usually benefits from a finer mesh, but the ideal mesh count will depend on the halftone frequency, artwork detail, ink deposit, and substrate.

Recommended stencil:
Use a water-resistant dual-sensitized direct photo emulsion or an SBQ presensitized photo emulsion suitable for water-based ink.

Curing:
The technical data recommends curing at approximately 300°F for 1–2 minutes. Cotton garments may require a slightly longer curing period. Dryer temperature, belt speed, garment thickness, airflow, and ink deposit can all affect the final cure, so perform a step-cure and wash test before production.

CPSIA-Compliant, Non-Leaded Pigments

Victory Bio water-based garment ink is formulated with non-leaded pigments and is designed to comply with CPSIA requirements for lead and specified phthalates. The technical data lists lead content below 300 ppm and regulated phthalates below 0.1%.

Review the current Safety Data Sheet and conduct any finished-product testing required for your application.
